Aamir Khan Confirms Superhero Film with Lokesh Kanagaraj
Mumbai, June 12, 2025 – Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has confirmed a new project with Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film, a big-scale superhero action flick, will begin production in mid-2026. Khan revealed the news during a promotional interview for his upcoming movie, Sitaare Zameen Par.
Kanagaraj will first complete Kaithi 2, starring Karthi, before starting the superhero venture. The collaboration has sparked excitement among fans. Khan also confirmed a cameo in Kanagaraj’s Coolie, starring Rajinikanth, set for release on August 14, 2025.
The untitled superhero film is not part of Kanagaraj’s Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). It promises to blend Khan’s storytelling finesse with Kanagaraj’s action expertise. Production is expected to kick off after Khan wraps up his current commitments, including a Dadasaheb Phalke biopic.
